Lately I’m going through a run where the prospect of getting out of bed and facing the day is less than palatable. While I trudge through the steps of that first hour of being awake, my brain is on a constant loop of “Ugh.”
I usually rely on music to get me started, but today the bathroom Bose pulled out this little perky gem:
I’m surprised I didn’t just curl up in the fetal position and start sobbing in the shower. (Plus, my recent attempt to recaulk the edges failed spectacularly, so I’m confronted by that every morning, too.)
After the first hour I’m fine — a little resigned, but at least able to walk out the door. I hope this insidious torpor is short-lived because I can feel it infiltrating the rest of my day’s activities, too. In the meantime, expect What Sam Wore to feature a lot of the same pieces over and over again, as I base my wardrobe selections off what’s on the floor.
