I have, as I explained to my neighbor recently, a “brain crush,” which because of its relative rarity is more exhilarating and heady than the traditional type. (And, because it’s completely irrational, it’s also infinitely more troubling.) Perhaps not coincidentally, I’ve noticed my musical tendencies have taken a veer toward the hypnotic-swoony-verging-on-soporific side.

The “Oto” album by Fluke is one of my favorite-favorites.

This is the only video that has, you know, a video with it.

I had no idea this song was used in “The Negotiator.” Just don’t watch the screen, lest you forever associate the song with Kevin Spacey and big guns.

Another one of my favorite-favorites. The original version of the Talvin Singh track is 11 minutes and is more of an auditory experience, but this is a more fun trip.
