I started researching the possibility of printing an anaglyph 3D design on a letterpress printer several months ago. (And to be clear, by “researching,” I mean “asking the woman who owns my favorite neighborhood letterpress print studio to find out for me.”) The consensus from printing professionals was that it would difficult if not impossible, because the “deboss” (where the press stamps the paper) likely would negatively affect the crispness of the intended visual.
